Will Sylvester is an award winning video editor, musician, and documentarian currently residing in New York City. He has created such documentary works as Thank You for Choosing…, Black in Arizona, Love: A Documentary, and UVC: Students in Education. Will’s documentaries are a reflections of his life; a glimpse into his localized world. He uses pieces of his own life to not only observe or investigate, but to also reflect on. Aside from his documentary work, Will is a constant student of media and the way technology is used to deliver it. After receiving his certificate in Radio Broadcasting from East Valley Institute of Technology, Will went on to work at Industrial Rideshop LLC as part of their web development team and later becoming Web Manager and Photographer for IndustrialRideshop.com. While working for Industrial, he completed his Associates in Applied Science in Film and Television Production with concentration in editing at Scottsdale Community College. Following his departure from IndustrialRideshop.com, Will worked in Academic Instructional Media Services and as a Cable Installer for the University of Massachusetts where he completed his Bachelor Degree in Cultural and Social Filmmaking. Since graduating, Will works as a freelance editor and technology consultant for various artists looking to shift their work towards new media technologies. Will also gigs as a DJ and as a member of the band BLEW.
